Treatment Approach for Oral Candidiasis: Two Case Reports

Candida infections are acute and / or chronic of the skin, mucosa, internal organs systems which may be seen at any age. The purpose this study is to present diagnostic therapeutic approach for patients who applied our clinic with diagnosis pseudomembranous candidiasis. Both referred were using inhaler due Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Intraoral examination revealed candidiasis localized on both border soft palate through pharynx a 60 year-old female patient midline hard 70-year-old male patient. Cultures taken mycological evaluation after clinical examination. Antifungal treatment was administered 10 days. Healing observed as result treatment. No recurrence monthly follow-up assessments performed patients. In cases oral candidiasis, antifungal agents should used locally in form suspension pomade, culture support etiological factors that cause disease studied.
